Step Up to the Plate for Your Chance to Win Big – and Support Local Healthcare!

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – February 17, 2026 — The Group Health Centre (GHC) Trust Fund is gearing up for the 2026 Big Wish Lottery draws on February 25, 2026, inviting the community to unlock their own Big Wish – from a major cash prize to an unforgettable trip to experience the Toronto Blue Jays Home Opener – all while strengthening access to essential healthcare close to home.

A Community Win: Big Prizes, Bigger Impact

Proceeds will help purchase three new ultrasound units—critical equipment that will reduce wait times, expand diagnostic capacity, and support timely, high-quality care across Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma.

“The Big Wish Lottery is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way for our community to come together and strengthen local healthcare,” said Amelia Stuetz, Trust Fund Coordinator. “Every ticket purchased helps us invest in essential medical equipment.”

“Better health is about more than technology—it’s about ensuring patients across Algoma feel supported throughout their care journey,” added Tricia Lesnick, Trust Fund Manager. “Thanks to the community’s support for Big Wish, we can enhance the diagnostic experience, reduce uncertainty, and provide the kind of compassionate, reliable care our region takes pride in.”
