Our New Strategic Plan
Group Health Centre (GHC) is committed to continuing to provide exceptional care to our patients and drive positive health outcomes in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma area. The Board initiated a strategic planning process in the summer of 2021 to clearly identify our goals and objectives for the next three years and beyond.
The strategic plan is grounded in input from our patients, staff, health providers, physicians, partners, system leaders, and Board of Directors. We engaged more than 100 patients through a focus group session and a survey, held several focus group sessions with staff, physicians and executive leadership, and gained insight into the community and partnerships through interviews with system leaders.
Building on this input, the Board of Directors developed foundational strategic goals and objectives that will allow staff to focus on our priorities for the next three years. We have developed a strategic plan that builds on our many strengths while acknowledging areas for improvement and growth, as well as the need to continually adapt to a changing health system.
