Sault Ste. Marie, ON – June 2025 – The Group Health Centre (GHC) Trust Fund is proud to announce a generous $300,000 donation from Dale Harrison, a long-time community supporter and proud Sault Ste. Marie native, dedicated to replacing key diagnostic imaging equipment at the Group Health Centre.
This meaningful contribution will fund the replacement of three ultrasound units in the GHC Diagnostic Imaging department, ensuring the continued delivery of timely, high-quality medical imaging services to patients across the Algoma District.
“We are incredibly grateful to Dale Harrison for his remarkable act of generosity,” said Lil Silvano, CEO of the GHC. “This donation allows us to maintain the exceptional standard of care our patients expect and deserve by ensuring our diagnostic equipment remains current, reliable and effective.”
Ultrasound technology is essential to a wide range of patient care, from prenatal monitoring to cardiac and abdominal diagnostics. The new units will replace aging machines and offer improved reliability and image quality, helping the team sustain clinical excellence and patient comfort.
