Position Summary:

To provide physiotherapy services in an outpatient department to enable clients/patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The successful applicant must be able to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. (Note: this position may be eligible for the Northern Incentive Grant)

Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited physical therapy program or equivalent education as recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Knowledge & Skill
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality physiotherapy service
  • A broad range of experience and skill to match our existing services plus a potential of expanded services, an asset
  • Strong knowledge and practice of the functions, operations and best practices within Physiotherapy
  • Demonstrated care and safety of patients prior to, during, and following treatment
  • Demonstrated understanding and record of providing an excellent patient experience
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, their families, other healthcare team members and the community
  • A proven track record of sound clinical decision making
  • Excellent prioritization and work-flow skills (both proactively and reactively)
  • Superior ability to work under the pressure of tight timelines and emergent issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management skills
  • A solid track record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality in the workplace
  • Demonstrated effort in living the values of GHC

Our ideal candidate would require an interest for pelvic health and a strong desire to collaborate and mentor with our team of dedicated practitioners. 

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited physical therapy program or equivalent education as recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist; interest in pelvic health and/or willingness to become specialized in pelvic health considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality physiotherapy services
  • Strong knowledge and practice of the functions, operations and best practices within Physiotherapy
  • A broad range of experience and skill to match our existing services plus a potential of expanded services
  • Strong desire to continue to expand their knowledge base and share their passion with a diverse client population, specifically pelvic health
  • Demonstrated care and safety of patients prior to, during, and following treatment
  • Demonstrated understanding and record of providing an excellent patient experience
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, their families, other health care team members and the community
