Marconi Multicultural Event Centre Hosts The Rabbit Dinner To Support Local Healthcare

September 14, 2026

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – September 14, 2026—The Marconi Multicultural Event Centre is once again hosting the “Original Recipe” Rabbit Dinner, with all proceeds supporting the purchase of essential medical equipment for Group Health Centre (GHC).

On Thursday, October 1, guests will gather for an unforgettable evening featuring a traditional five-course Italian dinner, live entertainment by Vito Tassone, a silent auction, and inspiring stories about the impact community support has on local healthcare.

The menu includes antipasti, chicken noodle soup, penne in tomato sauce, and the evening’s featured entrée of oven-roasted rabbit served with rapini and roasted potatoes.

Guests will hear from Lil Silvano, GHC President & CEO, and Dr. Jodie Stewart, Algoma District Medical Group CEO & Board Chair, who will highlight the transformative impact of medical equipment investments on patient care, earlier diagnosis, and the ability of healthcare teams to deliver care close to home.

Tickets are $110 per person. Tables of eight, nine, and ten are available for $800, $900, and $1,000, respectively and are available for sale until September 23, 2026.

“Medical equipment is one of the most important investments we can make in healthcare,” said Tricia Lesnick, GHC Trust Fund Manager. “Community support through events like the Rabbit Dinner helps ensure our physicians and clinical teams have the tools they need to provide exceptional care.”

Every ticket purchased helps bring modern technology to patients across GHC’s primary care, specialty, diagnostic and community-based services, reducing the need for travel and supporting local access to quality healthcare.
