Putting Patients First

Putting Patients First

Our commitment to care starts with listening to you.

At Group Health Centre (GHC), improving the patient experience is an ongoing commitment. By refining and strengthening the services our patients depend on, we aim to make care more accessible, responsive, and patient-focused. Through our newly updated Accessibility Plan, our patient portal, MyChart, and regular review of patient feedback, we consistently improve the patient experience at GHC.

Accessibility

GHC is committed to creating a barrier-free environment for everyone. Our new Three-Year Accessibility Plan outlines how we are enhancing existing practices to better support individuals with disabilities—by reducing barriers, responding to needs promptly, and ensuring care is delivered with dignity, independence, and inclusion. These initiatives reflect our ongoing compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Ontario’s accessibility standards.

MyChart

MyChart offers patients a convenient and efficient way to access their healthcare information. Through this secure online portal, patients can communicate with their primary care provider and care team, review test results, request prescription refills, and schedule or manage appointments. By making health information easily accessible, MyChart helps patients stay informed, improve communication with their providers, and take a more active role in managing their health.

Patient Experience Survey

Our Patient Experience Survey captures your voice as a patient or visitor at GHC. By sharing your experience, you play an essential role in shaping the future of care at GHC and ensuring healthcare remains accessible, responsive, and community focused. Patient feedback is reviewed regularly and plays a vital role in guiding service improvements and operational decisions.

Compliments & Concerns

The Compliments and Concerns process at GHC is an essential part of delivering high-quality care and fostering trust with our community. It provides patients, families, and staff with a clear and respectful way to share feedback—whether it’s recognizing exceptional service or identifying areas for improvement. By listening to compliments, we celebrate and reinforce what we do well, and by addressing concerns, we learn, adapt, and strengthen our practices. Most importantly, this process allows us to respond directly to patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are acknowledged. This commitment promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and a safe, inclusive, patient-centered environment.

To submit a compliment or concern visit our website https://ghc.on.ca/about-us/patient-relations/ or call our Patient Relations Team at (705) 759-5541.
