GHC Trust Fund’s 50/50 is back for 2023

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON (March 29, 2023) The Group Health Centre (GHC) Trust Fund is excited to announce the return of the Trust Fund’s 50/50 Raffle (RAF# 1305265). The monthly draws take place from April through November. This year’s 50/50 Raffle ticket options include:

  • 10 Tickets for $10
  • 60 Tickets for $20
  • 200 Tickets for $40
  • 600 Tickets for $100

“We’re excited to be offering another ticket option for our supporters who prefer the convenience of group plays,” says Tricia Lesnick, GHC Trust Fund Manager. “We know how popular 50/50 draws are becoming, and we wanted to ensure that we provide options that would meet everyone’s needs and style of play.”

Also new this year is the addition of a monthly Early Bird draw, which gives supporters an extra chance to win while supporting healthcare and local businesses within the community. A win-win! Early Bird prizes are valued at $100. Like the Big Wish Lottery draw, tickets will again be available for purchase in-person using our raffle sales units (RSU).

All proceeds raised through ticket sales of the Trust Fund 50/50 will go towards helping GHC purchase and upgrade medical equipment. In 2022, thanks to the ongoing support of the community, GHC was able to purchase over $172,000 worth of new medical equipment, including:

  • Bone Density Unit – $95,000
  • Colonoscope – $40,000
  • HD LED Monitor – $11,000
  • Electrocautery unit – $11,000
  • Rising Chair with controls – $10,000
  • Vital Signs Monitor – $3,500
  • Ergonomic Stationary Bike – $2,000

“Of course, none of these equipment upgrades would have been possible without the community’s support of our monthly 50/50 raffles and annual Big Wish Lottery,” says Lesnick. “We are excited to continue helping GHC provide accessible healthcare to the Sault and surrounding areas with the proceeds from this year’s Trust Fund 50/50.”

Tickets for the Trust Fund 50/50 are on sale now at trustfund5050.ca. Early Bird ticket sales will close at 9:59 a.m. on the last Friday of each month, with the Early Bird draw taking place at 10 a.m. the same day. Grand Prize ticket sales will close at 11:59 p.m. on the 15th day of each month, with the draw taking place on the 16th at 10 a.m.
