Dr. Willis Named Pediatrician of the Season – Summer 2026

Group Health Centre’s (GHC) Dr. Jessica Willis has been named the Summer 2026 Pediatrician of the Season by the Ontario Medical Association (OMA)!

 

The Pediatrician of the Season award celebrates excellence in pediatric care across Ontario. Each season, the OMA Pediatrics Section and the Pediatricians Alliance of Ontario (PAO) recognize a pediatrician who exemplifies outstanding clinical care, leadership, advocacy, education, or research.

 

Dr. Willis was nominated by Dr. DellaVedova in recognition of her excellence in pediatric care and her commitment to advancing adolescent medicine in our region. In addition to developing her adolescent medicine consulting practice, she has played an important role in strengthening the hospital-based Eating Disorders Program, helping expand medical consultation and follow-up services, and improving access to care for youth and young adults. 

 

Her dedication to advancing adolescent medicine and strengthening services for children and youth across our region is truly commendable. This recognition reflects not only her clinical expertise, but also her advocacy, leadership, and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our community.

 

We are incredibly proud to have Dr. Willis on our team and grateful for all that she brings to pediatric care in our region.
